Our STEP Award for achieving Gold Level status for the development of a quality safety program came in the mail last week.
STEP stands for Safety Training Evaluation Process and is awarded by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC).
Patrick says “I am proud of my team for taking steps to make safety a priority. I asked everyone on our commercial team to become OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certified two years ago when I first came to Priority Floors. Since then, we have made it a requirement of all new hires as part of the on-boarding process. Whether it be a project manager, an estimator or administrator they all have to take the same path in regard to safety training. Creating a culture of safety isn’t just something we have to do to be compliant, it’s our responsibility and obligation to our employees, trade partners and our customers to do our part to make sure everyone goes home safe every day.”
